On March 14, the California Ocean Protection Council (OPC) adopted updated guidance to help state and local governments prepare for and adapt to sea level rise. The updated guidance provides a summary of the best available science on sea level rise; detailed instructions for governments to analyze the projections and what risks they present to inform decision making; and information on the state’s preferred adaptation approaches.
