  • Presenting and editing Issue Statements that summarize each asset for each sector
  • Presenting and editing Key Planning Issues that summarize priority issues along the East Contra Costa County shoreline and will have a suite of adaptation solutions developed for each Key Planning Issue
  • Introduce the Plan Step and adaptation responses to be shown at the next working group meeting

This meeting was the second of five working group meetings for the ART East Contra Costa Project. During this meeting, we reviewed project resilience goals and preliminary vulnerability assessment outcomes through an interactive poster session, and launched the new East Contra Costa Shoreline Flood Explorer tool. The group’s insight during all of the breakout sessions helped us identify important considerations to keep in mind and we finalize vulnerability assessments and transition to adaptation.

Sign up to review draft vulnerability assessment chapters! If you did not get a chance to sign up and are interested in doing so, please fill out this survey by COB Wednesday, August 14th. Draft Vulnerability Assessment chapters will be emailed out to reviewers on August 19th. Please provide feedback by September 6th.

Online Meeting Update

  • This online meeting offered a broad reintroduction and update on project progress, timeline, and next steps. Working Group members also received an overview of the new flood data for East Contra Costa County and a teaser of the East Contra Costa Shoreline flood explorer, to be released in late summer 2019.
